This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the heart and soul of the school. We help create and maintain school spirit with our music and our positive contributions to the surrounding community.

Although we are not in the most affluent area of Los Angeles County, we have a proud tradition here of making the best of any situation and doing the best with what we've got.

We are a largely hispanic community with limited means, but with the help of our boosters, our community and donors like you, we find ways to succeed and make our own pathway to success.

My Project

The jazz band is one of the premiere performance groups at our school. We make music as best we can with what we've got. I would love to get an upright bass without the worry of how much space it takes up or the fragility of an acoustic bass.

Our current school-owned bass is a little old and goes in and out at all the wrong times.

It would be great to give our kids the equipment they deserve.

It is my wish to keep giving students the opportunity to reach higher than even their own expectations in music. We need the equipment to match those goals. Thank you for your consideration!
