My Students
I have a lively bunch of students in my 5th-grade class this year. We are an ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) classroom, which means there are general education students and a percentage of special needs students. My class has 26 students altogether.
Each student brings a different personality and energy to the classroom, which ensures that the days are never boring!
Our school is a Title I school in the South Bronx. Title I schools are schools with high percentages of low-income families. My students are full of creativity and have tons of energy!
My Project
Our library has seen better days! All of our high interest books go missing or get badly damaged throughout the year, due to over use! (Which is a great thing!) We would like to stock our library's shelves with more entertaining books for the kids to read and reread!! These series have been personally requested by the students in my class!
The more high interest titles we have in our library, the more our students read!
We have been building our reading stamina over the past few weeks, and our class has been devouring the titles currently in our classroom!
