We go to school in a rural area, and my class consists of a diverse population including Native Americans from our nearby reservation, as well as a large Hispanic population that aides in our farming community.
All of my students qualify for free breakfast and lunch.
We also have a local National Guard Unit in our area and have a lot of military families with parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins serving in our beautiful country. We are dedicated to helping our students and their families. Regardless of these factors, I am fortunate to work with students that love to be at school and learn each day. Our school is full of energy and excitement, which I love being a part of!
My students are extremely enthusiastic learners. They are always full of life and their love for learning is catching! I can't wait each day to see that light bulb look come on when they understand a new concept. They love to have hands-on, engaging learning activities for every subject in school.
From the moment they walk in the door in the morning, they are ready to learn and find out what the day has for them.
My Project
What girl doesn't love lip gloss?! Who doesn't need a stress ball? A marble run, robots and small toys? I like to teach my students about Financial Literacy. My students have the opportunity to earn pretend money based upon good behavior and academic success. We only have 3 stores a year so I like to make them very amazing.
It is very important to teach our children about the importance of learning how to manage their money.
They will be able to buy items like a lego table, LEGOs, lip gloss, balls, and coloring books. They will learn how to save to buy the higher priced items like small robots. This project will really make sure my classroom store is just what my kids need to be successful with their learning about Financial Literacy. Thank you for the help with this project.
