My Students

My wonderful kindergarten students are the youngest learners at our K-8 charter school.

Our students come from all over the island, from a variety of cultures and socioeconomic classes.

We live on the beautiful tropical island of Oahu, with a wonderfully diverse population of students, including students who may speak a different language at home.

My students have lots of energy and are curious about the world around them. They love to work and learn with and from each other.

My Project

My students love books! They need comfortable seating where they can read by themselves or with a buddy. This seating will be used to give my students a quiet place to read and enjoy books.

In today’s busy world with technology and activities, children need a chance to slow down, to sit, and get immersed in a good book!

Kindergarten is a year of great growth. I want my students to develop a true love of reading. Children need lots of opportunities to read. Let’s start their learning journey off to a great start with reading being a central part of their kindergarten experience!
