Help me give my students access to more chapter books and fairytales! My students have become great readers this year but I would love to diversify our classroom library!
I often wish I could provide more for my students. I have a diverse class of students with different special needs. All of my students love to learn and I want to make sure they have all of the tools they need to succeed. As primary students, they are excited to learn. I hope that you will want to support my sweet students.
I work in a large school with students coming from many different backgrounds.
We talk a lot about community in terms of our classroom and the school where I teach but I think expanding students' ideas of communities is important too.
My Project
Reading is something that happens more than just during our reader's workshop block in the morning. Throughout the day students choose to read when they complete work and ask for me to read aloud to them. My classroom library is a place that my students enjoy spending time in. They love to book shop and pick out new books. Our library is where we do class read alouds, partner reading, and independent reading!
Every book that is in our classroom library is enjoyed by my students.
I would love to give them new options. I chose these books specifically based on what books I know my students enjoy in our classroom. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.
