My Students

My class is a wonderful, hardworking group of 2nd graders from a Title I school in Pennsylvania. My students are excited about learning new things and love to explore the world around them. They love to read, solve math problems, and work hands on. They are enthusiastic, energetic, and ready to take on each day as an opportunity for them to grow and become better readers. They are such a great group of kids, and I just want to provide everything I can for them to be successful students.

My Project

My students love to read! I have a classroom library that is always open for students to borrow books from. However, I need some new books to help get students excited about reading and to spark their love of reading. Reading is such an important skill that students need to have. By giving students the books that they are interested in reading, it will help them to become better students and be more engaged in their learning. Also, these books are great for students to learn more about the science topics that they are interested in.

Research states that the more time children spend reading, the better readers they will become.

By having a classroom library, it will give students a greater opportunity to read. This will give my students the opportunity to enjoy quality literature and also to help them to improve their reading abilities.
