We are a first grade classroom filled with twenty-four very energetic friends. Our campus serves prekindergarten through twelfth grade students. Our school campus is a rural, low income, and Title 1 school. This is the same school and hallways that helped encourage me to become a teacher.
My goal is to instill a love of learning and create lifelong learners.
I strive to make learning fun in a variety of ways. I want to help all my students be motivated, goal driven, and active and successful members of their community.
My Project
Flexible seating will help my students become more successful learners. We can't get enough of flexible seating. "Can we have another fun seat like this one?" Is a question I hear multiple times a day. Students will be able to choose from two wiggle stools, six bounce bands, or foam mats to encourage and support their individual learning needs.
Having flexible seating choices will help encourage student learning.
Flexible seating will allow students to spread out around the class and have more room to work, wiggle, and learn.
