We Love Technology!
My students need access to technology in the classroom. More than 65% of my students do not have access to computers at home. We are requesting an iPad for our classroom.
How can students who don't have access to the latest technology be better prepared for high school and college? I would love to better prepare my students for high school and college by having them practice making presentations from pictures they take using an iPad.
My students are fun and curious, and love to explore.
Our school is high poverty, so many of the students don't have a computer, much less have access to the Internet, at home. They are so far behind students in our area as far as working with technology. I want to change that! I want them to be able to use technology so they are better prepared when they leave elementary school. One iPad would make such a difference because I could allow students to work in groups to take pictures and build presentations.
We are getting ready to go to Kennedy Space Center for a field trip, and my students making a presentation to culminate what they saw and learned would be such a great experience. This would be the first of many ways we would use the iPad in the classroom.
Donations would improve my classroom because students will be more engaged and want to learn.
Most of my students do not have motivation to come to school. I want to make school an exciting, yet challenging place to be, and make learning seem like "child's play".
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
