My Students

I have the privilege of teaching 29 second grade ESL students who love school and come in ready to learn each day.

We are a diverse group coming from many different backgrounds, but we all have a common love of learning.

We are in a high-poverty area, many have limited English skills, and some are even fleeing war-torn countries with their families for a better life. These students work so hard and are optimistic and enthusiastic, despite the challenges or barriers many of them face. My greatest reward is watching them succeed!

My Project

This Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will help me prepare for the school year and be able to provide students with amazing lessons that were made by teachers for teachers. I spend a lot of my free time creating and finding resources that will improve my teaching and help students learn. Many of them are already created on Teachers Pay Teachers, therefore it would be very helpful to use something that is already out there then to recreate it.

Not only would you be helping me but you would be helping teachers that made these resources.

I would use the gift card to purchase lessons, assessments, and activities that I could use in my classroom.
