This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a new teacher and I am working on building a classroom library. My students are super sweet and love to read book series. I have chosen a few popular series in an effort to help my students love reading.
The books chosen for this project are popular children's series that my students have expressed an interest in.
Through this project, my goal is to help instill a life-long love of reading in my students.

My Project
The books that were chosen, such as I Survived and Geronimo Stilton, are series my students have expressed and interest in. The books will become part of our classroom library, where students can easily check them out to enjoy. These books will instill a love for reading in my students and encourage them to be life-long readers.
Series, such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Dork Diaries, help the students connect with reading because they form a bond with the characters.
They develop a desire to see what happens next. When students enjoy what they are reading, it draws them in a gives them a love for what they are reading.
