Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a 3rd grade TWBI teacher my students love to read. By the end of third grade I want my students to be proficient in both English and Spanish.

This is a Title 1 school, which means that my students come from low income homes.

They are great students who enjoy reading. They even ask to borrow and take books from my classroom library home. They may read after completing class work, and most do just to be able to read!

My Project

I have a small classroom library, so getting more books for my students will help. Especially since I have students that have read almost all the books that we have already. Also getting extra books will allow students to borrow more books to take home and share them with siblings and parents.

This projects will improve my classroom library.

Getting an extra 50 books will allow my students to read new books. And I will also allow students to borrow 2 books per day instead of just one.
