Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 5th grade students are a great group of eager kids who come from a low-income neighborhood and school district. Most of my students are being raised in a single parent/grandparent household, so it can be a struggle to make sure they are at school everyday. Since recently becoming a teacher I have tried my very best to make sure I am setting the perfect example for these young minds. I do what I can to keep the motivation present in my classroom, as well as provide a safe and fun learning environment.
At our school, 100% of the students qualify for free breakfast and lunch.
So, these children are grateful for any and all help they receive. Whether it's from me, as their teacher, or from the school and its lovely staff members. It is always a blessing seeing their faces light up at the idea of fun and new projects. This is my wish for my students. Smiling faces, and full hearts.
My Project
I am asking for one case of plane standard white printer paper. I am asking for paper for my students so that we won't have to experience any kind of a paper shortage. My class is equipped with a small set of class tablets, however these tablets are almost 10 years old and do not hold a charge.
I have always preferred doing things the old fashion way and like to limit the use of technology as much as possible, unless necessary.
My school has very limited supply of paper and we are required to purchase cases of paper once we have gone through the one we are given. I would greatly appreciate the help to give my students an almost unlimited supply of paper. Thank you!!
