Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is having an International Health and Wellness Fair and we want to make this school-wide event extra special. Our students will be able to participate in a variety of activities that encourage celebrating the wonderful cultures in our world and healthy practices.

We want to create a visual arts montage that encourages students to exercise and eat balanced meals.

The visual arts montage will include a hand held blender that makes smoothies, chocolates, and an ice cream maker. We want to promote eating sweets in moderation. The plates will encourage eating healthy and balanced meals. The heater will encourage students to build up heat in their bodies with exercise and the griddle and Instantpot will promote cooking healthy meals. Let's grill vegetables and make soups. We want drinks, chips and mints. Everyone loves a sweet treat! These items will be used in the visual arts montage and at the end of the event everything in the montage will be given away to students as raffle prizes.

Our school uses Positive Behavior Rewards Supports (PBIS) and we give students rewards for making good choices and demonstrating positive behavior traits. We want to reward students for participating in our fair and getting to take home a special PBIS reward will make them smile. Thank you for supporting my project. Our Fair will be wonderful!
