My Students

I teach a unique group of second graders in a gifted and talented program. My district prides itself on assuring that each of our learners develops the knowledge, skills, and ethics necessary to achieve educational excellence and thrive in a rapidly changing world. Differentiation of curriculum and instruction ensures that gifted and talented students’ needs are met. This program is for students whose academic needs are being met within a differentiated regular classroom.

I believe that every child deserves to be challenged every day.

My Project

My students need ink for our printer for reports and pictures. Having a reliable printer in the classroom helps all of the students in my room and on my team. The school printer is old and breaks down often and does not have color printing. In order to make it easier for us, having a color printer in the classroom means not having to work around the logistics of the school printers. The students use the printer and ink for printing rough drafts of essays, editing them, revising them and publishing their writings. Students could also use the printer to print out projects that need color pictures for their assignments. I also use the printer to make homework books as well as supplemental reading materials.
