Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are from a low socio-economic area. Many don't receive help at home with their school work. Motivation is key when getting the students interested in learning, participating in class and completing work.

Incentives are used to encourage positive behavior in students, such as effective listening during lessons, displaying a positive attitude and values in and out of class, and following simple instructions.

First graders are still at the age where they love their cute and fluffy stuffed animals. These plushies will add some incentive to accomplish work and actively participate in class.
