I teach a diverse group of students from the most diverse city in our country. Because of this, many of my students come from various countries and speak many different languages. Some of my students have been in the country for less than a year, but are eager to learn and grow as a part of our community. Our school is part of a feeder pattern of a Title I school.
I'd love to create a classroom that students remember for years to come, because of the many cultures, languages, and books that they were introduced to.
Our students have been through a lot this school year, including Hurricane Harvey. We have bounced back with tremendous optimism and are eager to make sure we continue to end the school year in a successful way. We have lots of large scale events planned to help make sure our students are excited about learning - including Field Day, Awards Ceremony and Fine Arts performances.
In order to provide a safe and productive environment for our kids we would are requesting campus Walkie Talkies to increase communication across the campus.
We will use these walkie talkies during outside events to make sure all staff members and volunteers are able to communicate with each other.
