My Students

We are a Title One School. Over fifty percent of our students receive free or reduced price lunch. We serve a nearby military base so we have students transition in and out frequently. Many of my students also have at least one parent that is currently serving in the United States Armed Forces. My students are Pre-K through fifth grade in a Rural Virginia Elementary school.

Our students come from many different backgrounds but most love PE class.

It is a place where they can release loads of energy and have fun while learning livelong fitness skills. For some of our students, PE class is the only exercise they will get on a given day due to busy and hectic afterschool schedules with their families.

My Project

Over seven hundred and fifty students need a lot of balls and play equipment to keep everyone active and happy. With this many students, we have one hundred students outside for recess at any given time throughout the day. This amount of students need a lot of balls and play equipment to keep everyone active and happy. The recess packs will have everything from jump ropes to a variety of balls to keep students engaged and active during recess. Also, with this many students, they also wear out equipment fast so we run out of items before the school year ends. Recess is just not as fun without play equipment.
