My students need new materials for our water table to enhance learning while playing in this popular center. These tools will help incorporate math and literacy skills as children play in the water table.

My Students
Our classroom is full of bright young minds who are curious and eager to learn about the world around them, they just need to be given the opportunity. All of the students in our classroom come from low-income families within the community, and our goal is to give them high-quality learning experiences that will be a solid foundation for the rest of their lives. Without a program like ours, many of these children would never be exposed to topics like STEM, literacy, or mathematics until they enter Kindergarten.
It’s not just play, they are skills for life.
Children enter our classroom and they become engineers, entrepreneurs, inventors, artists, mathematicians, scientists, musicians, actors, and so much more. They spend their day playing because that’s what children need to do at this age - to play and be free. However, they are doing so much more than playing. They are building skills that will last them for the next eighty years of their lives.
My Project
Students in our classroom LOVE to play in the water table each day, but they could really use some new materials to enhance their learning in this particular center. Right now they love to practice pouring, measuring, and testing if objects sink or float. The materials in this project would allow students to also practice learning their letters and numbers, as well as create new things using blocks made for water.
Help us fill up our water table and our minds!
Your donation to this project will help students in our classroom learn even more while playing in one of their favorite centers! Children will have a blast fishing for numbers with the magnetic fishing set, searching through the floating bubbles for the letters in their names, and using the specially designed water blocks to build anything they can imagine!
