Help me give my students the chance to develop their every day life skills (Real Working Cash Register), work on their coordination (Nuts about Counting), and knowledge of cause and effect (CreateAChain Reaction STEM Kit).
My students are a very special group, some of my students are learning to read, write, and count, while some of their classmates are learning to create a positive growth mindset and complete individual task independently. The class is made up of students with special needs, example: autism and ADHD. We spend a lot of time working on basic skills and skills that we will need to succeed in the everyday world. We are working very hard to learn while both in the classroom and virtually. Some skills are harder to work on, like reading sight words online and creating a community. My students love trains, trucks, unicorns, computer games, cars, drawing and creating books.
My Project
Students in my classroom benefit from practicing social exchanges, working on developing life skills, the opportunity to increase their fine motor skills, knowledge of cause and effect as well as basic reading and math skills. Having the materials available to assist them in learning how to be effective members of our society, to make connections with others and to practice life long skills, is essential for success.
These items requested will allow my students the opportunity to increase their ability to be successful in their communities.
