Our student centric second grade class is comprised of energetic, motivated and an eager group of students! We have a diverse group of learners that represent cultures from around the world. They bring in a rich cultural diversity to our classroom community. At the beginning of the year, we are busy building long lasting and meaningful relationships with one another. As a whole class, we represent a community of lifelong learners! My students and I practice the concept of a "growth mindset" in our classroom.
My students are curious and intellectually flexible!
We want to always try our very best, never give up, and always learn from every interaction, both inside and outside our classroom.
My students absolutely love the idea of flexible seating in our classroom. So far, we have 6 stools in our classroom. However, my students love these stools so much that they would love to have more of them. We take turns to use them in class. Having more of these will allow more students to be able to use them everyday.
Students love the ease of moving the stools around during collaborative activities.
The Kore stools are so light and easy to use. The students truly enjoy these wobbly stools; they do not want to go back to their classroom chairs. I hope our class can eventually have a set of 24 stools for each student. My students cannot wait to get more of the Kore stools in our classroom.
