My students need new and exciting books! The first Wings of Fire graphic novel will hook students in and provide motivation for reading the entire Wings of Fire series.

My Students

Our school is in an urban area in Virginia. We take pride in being the most diverse elementary school in our district and represent about 30 different languages that are spoken by our students. Our students and teachers love books and make reading a special part of each day. Along with motivating our students to read books they enjoy, our teachers are always working to increase our students' academic achievement and social-emotional skills. We love having new and engaging books for our students to read!

My Project

Graphic novels are the most popular type of books right now. Our students feel confident and engaged when reading them. Graphic novels are a great tool for creating excitement around characters and storylines.

The first book in the Wings of Fire graphic novel series is a great way to introduce students to the series and create motivation.

The book is fast-paced and detailed and will hook both boys and girls into the story. I can't wait for students to have access to this book and then continue both the rest of the graphic novel series and the Wings of Fire book series.
