I love the question "what makes your students special" knowing that "everything" is not the best answer, but it is most certainly true. My students are eager to learn and want to do their best daily. Their confidence is contagious, and they make teaching the best job around.
I teach at a Title I school with diverse students from all walks of life.
Many of the students receive free/reduced-price lunch and also receive "backpack buddies" which provides them with food and snacks for the weekend. Despite the challenges they may face, my students come to school ready to do their very best.
My Project
The "Who is," "What is," and "Who was" books are going to be used in the classroom to help my students understand nonfiction text. The books are also being used for an end of year project that is going to be engaging and fun!
Nonfiction is an area that students struggle with understanding and feeling eager to read.
With the series of books that is being ordered, the students are more willing to read them. They can also be used as cross-curricular books, by bringing historical events into reading class.
The essential oil diffuser and oils will help bring natural, healthy smells into our classroom.
