My Students
My Kindergarten Special Education classroom is ready to focus and learn!! We are a self-contained kindergarten classroom who loves to learn. All of our friends have different skills and areas of need that we focus on. This can range from behaviors, social interactions, learning disabilities and daily life needs.
The students in my Kindergarten Special Education classroom are the most amazing children!
In addition to special need struggles, our students attend a title 1 school. This means that many families are way below the average income level and have financial struggles.
My Project
My special students love to read. I am very proud of the progress we have made and the gaps they are closing. During our reading workshop, we spend a lot of time private reading and partner reading. Needless to say our books have been very well loved and covered in tape to hold them together.
Our class is looking for new versions of our favorite storybooks.
When my students fall in love with a book, they want to read it over and over again. This brings so much joy to them and to me! However those favorite books that are being read over and over again every day are starting to fall apart.
