Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are motivated, passionate about technology, driven to make a change in society, imaginative, adventurous, creative, intelligent, and under-equipped. There is no difference in their ability to make positive changes in themselves or in society other than not having the access they need to technology to make the change.
Most of my students do not have a computer at home nor an internet connection and so their only exposure to computer literacy is in my classroom.
They can be achievers too always.
My Project
My goal is to put the latest technology in the hands of my students so that they learn 21st century skills. Access to current technologies are highly motivating making the desire to learn them a priority. I want my students to feel the difference that a powerful computer can make in their lives and how they can use it to show their learning in unique and creative ways.
These five Acer Chromebook computers will give my students the opportunity to see how transformative technology can be in their lives both as a student and as a person trying to reach their own peak potential.
