My Students

As a STEM teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school district, my scholars are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. They are hard-working scholars who try their best throughout the day.

They love to learn new topics and in different and exciting ways!

Many of my scholars do not have the materials to help them learn hands-on skills at home. Through problem-based learning, with hands-on projects in my classroom, my scholars also learn socialization skills and the importance of teamwork​.

My Project

Using these items will help my scholars lear the “HOW” in why things move. It will help them learn different ways that things move by battery usage and show them how circuits are needed to make things complete.

Hands on learning will help my Middle School scholars learn about careers in the STEM fields.

They will be able to build things that will actually move. We have taken things a part to see what’s inside now it would be fun for them to build something that works and that they can take pride in saying,”I did that”!
