My Students

My students are in the 4th grade. They love STEM projects, collaborative learning activities, and our daily morning meetings. They are imaginative, enthusiastic and caring children. We start and end everyday with a high-five or a hug. Their willingness to learn and curious minds inspires me! Their futures are so bright and I cannot wait to see where their paths take them. I am fortunate to teach in a rural public school in southern Illinois serving students from kindergarten-5th grade.

My Project

Where does your child like to do his or her homework? On the couch? A desk? In bed? I am currently on my recliner with my legs propped up and my laptop on my lap. This is where I feel the most comfortable in this moment. Shouldn’t students feel comfortable when working in the classroom as well? A comfortable student is an engaged student. This is why my students need Hokki stools. These stools will allow students to move while sitting. This movement allows for better engagement while also alleviating the negative effects of prolonged seating. These stools will making learning fun!
