My students need the opportunity to move as much as possible to maintain focus, and these wobble chairs will meet these needs while they are learning at the same time!
My students come to school everyday and hear me telling them, "Good morning!," always with a smile on my face. They know that they can always depend on me, and come to me if they need to talk or just need someone to listen.
I always want my students to know that I'm here for them, and that I believe in them.
Many of my students come from a different country and speak English as a second language. I also have a wide range of students with disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and specific learning disabilities. Some of my students struggle with maintaining focus because of their ADHD/ADD as well. Many also come from low-income families and live in poverty. Despite their struggles they may face on a daily basis, they come to school everyday and are eager to learn and grow.
My Project
In our classroom we do small group instruction on a daily basis. We meet at a round table in the back of the room and work on skills that were taught in the lesson. These wobble chairs will be used during small group instruction, and when students are working around the room.
These wobble chairs will have a dramatic effect on my students' learning, and will help them get their movement out while learning at the same time.
My students need to be able to move as much as possible, and they will enjoy having different seating options. These chairs will help to meet the needs for the majority of my students!
