My students are all very different but share one important thing. They all have a great school to come to. They all are inspiring to be the best they can be and they dream big.
My students are like me.
They are dreamers, inventors, scientists, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and more then we could ever think they would be in fourth grade. They are thinkers and speakers. They want to be teachers, doctors, lawyers, and more. But they need supplies to help them succeed.
My Project
Students are asked so much during their long period of time in the classroom. We ask them to sit still all day except for their little break of recess and lunch. When they are learning we expect them to be engaged in the content. I want to help my students not only LEARN because that is what I'm there to do but also help them love school and help them see it isn't all about having to be still.
As teachers, we get to walk around and have movement throughout the day, therefore the children should too!
I want to incorporate some flexible seating in my room that will allow students to use Balance Ball Chairs and Wobble Chairs. These resources will help the students feel as though they are getting more movement throughout the day when they are really learning too!! It's a win win for us!!
