My students need CanDo Inflatable donut ball chairs, the Surf Portable Lap Desks, and balance balls chairs to provide them with flexible seating options that allow them to move while they are learning.
My students enter my resource classroom excited and ready to sharpen their skills on concepts that they struggle with in the general education classroom. My students not only enter their classes, but they enter their school knowing that each administrator, teacher, and staff member hold high expectations for them.
My students are active learners.
My students love to learn while being able to move. Having the ability to move while learning allows them to focus and retain information more efficiently.
My Project
My students are active learners, meaning they are constantly in motion. Flexible seating allows them to have the opportunity to continue to be active learners by eliminating traditional classroom seating. Not only does this allow them to be active learners, it also gives them the ability to have leadership in their learning, by giving them the ability to decide which type of flexible seating works best for their individual learning needs. My students will also be able to use some of their flexible seating within their other classrooms. Flexible seating will also allow students to be comfortable within the classroom, which increases their motivation.
My students are engaged in lessons more when they are given the opportunity to be active while learning and to sit in their seating of choice.
The products that I have selected will allow help my students by giving them the opportunity to make decisions about what type of seating they would like to use and which seat allows them to be an engaged learner. The Surf Lapdesk will allow students to use their chromebooks while sitting on the floor. The comfortable donut seat and balance ball seats will allow students who need to move while learning the ability to bounce when in small group. All of the items that I am asking for are portable, and would benefit my students in their other classes as well.
