We Just Want To Read! Know any Good Books?

My students need books to read that challenge the way that they think and the culture that they live in.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Have you ever stood in a library with no idea what to look for, you simply wanted something to read? I would like to have books in my room that I could lend out when they ask for a good book to read.

About half of my students love to read.

They continually ask me for books to read, and I have a limited number to lend out. The public library is not always accessible to them, and they fly through the books in the library. When a student asks for a good book then it is time to point them to something that will challenge and entertain them.

My Project

Donors, Donors, Donors, Please consider giving to this project. My finances are limited and the bargain bin at the local used book store has been cleaned out. Please help me supply a shelf of books for my book worms. They are ready for you to help them succeed and become readers that are forced to think.

This project is important for my seventh grade students to be prepared to read the more difficult classics to come.

It will also put the tools in their hands to explore the world through the pages of a book that YOU provide.
