My Students
Do you remember what it was like when you got your first computer? Amazing right? We'll we have computers in our classroom but NO up to date, interactive educational software to use on the computers.
I have 19 Kindergarten students who are very excited about reading, writing and problem solving.
They live in a very large urban and critical needs area. Resources are very limited. 99% of the students at our school receive a free lunch. Most are from single parent homes and/or cared for by grandparents.
My Project
My students need engaging math, language arts, reading,and science software to use on our class interactive whiteboard and computers. With this software I can attract the attention of my students with new and better ways of learning.
Connection to my students is a crucial key for a successful presentation. With the use of the interactive whiteboard software, a bridge from me to students can be created.
With this technology, my students will have accessibility of data, from both our computers and the interactive board. Whether we use statistics, photos, video and much more, learning will never be a dull and boring experience. The use of interactive activities not only will increases studentsâÃÂàenjoyment in learning, but also in more accurate student responses and more engaged participation.
Most importantly, the software will result in my students being motivated and help them to become lifelong learners.
Software for the interactive board and classroom computers will support student-centered active learning, and students will receive engaging lessons.
