My students need 23 "Step One: Play Recorder" music books.

We can't wait to learn how to play our recorders . . . but we do not have any music books to learn from. I teach twenty-three seven- and eight-year-old second-graders. They are highly motivated, and would love to learn how to play a musical instrument.

My students have shown an interest in music. The recorder would be an excellent instrument to learn during our enrichment period. I thought about making copies of each page of music, but I would like my students to have a book to take home so that they can practice each night.

We need twenty-three "Step One Recorder Books." This would be their first introduction to a musical instrument. If we have a Level One Beginner's Book, my students could practice, and gain the confidence needed to succeed. Who knows what this may lead to!

Your help will ensure that my students will learn to read music. They will have a book to practice with each day. Imagine the pride on their faces when they take their recorder and music books home and play for their family!
