My Students

This is all of my students' first year taking Mandarin. They are like little sponges, soaking up knowledge, learning new words everyday!

My students are a wonderful mix of local and military children.

They range in age from 5-12. Many of the children come from socio-economically disadvantaged homes. They are eager to learn and love exploring new languages. My school is a green school. We recycle and have a large garden. We try not to be wasteful.

My Project

My students will utilize these materials by being able to practice writing their Chinese symbols. Symbol writing takes A LOT of practice. Our school is a green school and we try really hard to avoid creating unnecessary waste. My students will use whiteboards and markers to practice writing their symbols, saving paper for other projects.

Donations to this project will help students at my school empower their future.

In an ever globalizing world, we need to prepare our children for a diverse workplace. Markers will allow my students to practice their symbols, and hopefully one day they will be able to communicate with people from China in their language.
