This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have a class of five energetic community based high school students who have a range in disabilities. They love technology, puzzles and music. My extremely intelligent students are both verbal and non-verbal. They use different means of communicating their needs and wants, such as sign language and motions. They are also full of life and smile and laugh all day long. These kids would benefit from puzzles, manipulatives that would offer hands-on experience and technology in the classroom setting.
My Project
We need black and color ink for a printer/copier that has been donated. The ink that we need is for a Canon Pixma printer. The ink is 245XL and 246XL. We will use the printer/copier to print and copy assignments from workbooks and the internet. We will also copy work completed to send home to parents.
By donating to this project, you will be giving my students an opportunity to learn how to manage technology.
They will also have the opportunity to choose if they would like a copy of their classwork to bring home.
A color copier/printer has been donated, but the ink is very important. Some of the assignments that are copied or printed must be done in color. We have been given a printer, but we are in need of ink.
