Do you remember seeing a painting or other work of art that really inspired you and really wishing you could create something of your own? I want my students to be able to feel like real artists as they learn different art media techniques. Imagine not being able to have the tools you need.
Our school is a fairly small school in an urban area.
The families work hard, but in today's society, it can be a struggle to get by. Families are very supportive of the school, and they help the children value education. The students are eager to learn and want to be at school. It is good to work with students who enjoy art so much that when I host an art club before school, so many sign up. It makes it difficult to limit the number. The students really have a passion for learning.
My Project
I am an art teacher, and I love art! I get such joy in seeing children express themselves in the creative arts. I like to have many different experiences for the student. They really enjoy working with clay, painting their creations and then getting to take them home. We need some glazes for our projects. The students also need some new tools to help shape their projects. Another special activity that students enjoy is mixing paint and creating pictures with paints. We really need some watercolor pads and paint boxes. It is amazing what the students are able to create! Colored pencils and sharpeners are always in demand. The students do a lot of projects and they go through a lot of colored pencils.
My students need colored pencils, pencil sharpeners, various glazes for clay projects, and watercolor materials.
My students are very creative and want to create their own masterpieces.
I want them to experience the feelings that comes with the creative process. I was so disappointed when my budget was cut and would really appreciate any help in making sure we have the materials we need. I love art and want my students to have that feeling also. Thank you for your help.
