My Students

My school is in the Moore Public School District in central Oklahoma. I am currently starting my eighth year of teaching and have 25 amazing students I see each day. They come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and have various academic abilities. My students are eager to learn, and nothing holds them back from trying new things. They are eager to learn each day when they enter my classroom, and I do my best to instill knowledge through a variety of methods. They love hands-on activities and work in pairs to solve problems. These students are amazing and deserve to have the tools they need to succeed in their journey of learning.

My Project

My students only have access to online curriculum for their Social Studies and Science. They love to get these magazines out every week and read through them as a group and work on the activities on the back page. They are excited to take them home and share with their family what they learned. As second graders they are constantly using the word why. If this project is funded I will be able to provide all of the answers to their questions about animals, nature, people, and the world around them. I want to instill the love of reading in these kids and this is a fun way to do so. Please help me get these magazines into the hands of my students!
