My Students

Our students are hard-working kids. The moment my kids come in, they are eager and ready to learn. Over the last few years though, our class sizes have increased and I am having a hard time keeping up in regards to having enough materials for all of my students.

My students love being loud in our music classroom whether we are playing music, singing, dancing, the list goes on.

After all, music is all about having fun and being creative. From the time they walk through my door as kinders to when they are 4th graders leaving for the last time, we are expressing ourselves through movement and music and it can get a bit loud. That's where I need your help!

My Project

I am needing Tubano drums for my classroom. I currently do not have enough drums for classes, as our school has grown so much in recent years. I would love to be able to do more world drumming with my classes. It would be an amazing benefit to my students as we learn about music and cultures from around the world. Learning about the world around us is so important in our ever-changing society.

Community drumming in a classroom also builds teamwork.

It helps students to listen to one another and balance out one another. Students look forward to music! This gives them a chance to think outside the box, be creative and work as a class community. Music is an amazing gift!
