This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are flexible and hardworking future scientists. Over the last month they have been faced with multiple hardships but continue to show up each day to expand their knowledge. As we begin remote learning it is important that we all work together to continue our success.

My Project

Teaching from home is not something I have ever wished to do and now it is happening through the rest of the year. It is heartbreaking to sit at home and not be with my students everyday. I am constantly trying to create new ideas for at-home learning. These products will allow me to create fully engaging video lessons for my students to get as close to in-person classes as we can during this time. The iPad and stylus will be used to record lessons, use interactive tools such as the Merge Cube and promote student engagement. The Merge Cube is one of my favorite enrichment tools. During my Body Systems unit, I plan to use the cube to create 3D virtual models of each organ to increase engagement as well as a scaffold for the visual learners.
