This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn". These are words that drive our classroom. It is not just enough for me as a teacher to tell or teach my students but I must involve them in every facet of their academic careers.
My students are some of the brightest 4th and 5th grade students you would ever have the pleasure to meet!
They attend a school that is Title I but that doesn't make them less than any other student in America. They are bright, curious, energetic and eager to learn. It has not and will not ever be easy for my students but they know that they can and they will overcome any and every obstacle that may come their way!
My Project
Weather is one of the hardest standards for my students to grasp and it is my thought that with the addition of the many visuals, hands-on materials and science station materials that I am requesting that we will be able to bridge the gap that seems to hold us back year after year. Students will be able to work independently, with a partner, and or groups to better understand weather and its affect on our community and our world.
By donating to this project you will allow a student to become involved in the understanding of weather.
You will be able to support their learning so that they are able to become successful in knowing how weather impacts their everyday lives as well as the lives of those in their community.
