My Students

My students come from many different socio-economic backgrounds. More than half of the student body is on free and/or reduced lunches. Our school K-12 is a Title 1 school. Despite these difficulties, our students are as enthusiastic about learning as the faculty is about teaching and working with them.

In my 30 + years of teaching I have never had a class as large as my homeroom of 26 and I was blessed with having two classes of 26!

My students are very bright. Their problem solving skills during whole group and small group instruction are very well thought out.

My Project

The only resource I have chosen is one that we use for everything ! My classroom has the oldest projector in the building and is on its last lumen! Everything we do is via the projector and we cross our fingers every time we turn it on .

The new projector will allow me to leave the classroom lights on, producing a brighter clearer image enabling students to interact with paper copies on their desks.

Currently, we have to turn all the classroom lights off, have the lesson , then turn lights back on so students can see to write.
