My students need a QBall - a wireless microphone - in order to keep student engaged in class and develop speaking and listening skills.

The students at my school are an energetic and hardworking group of children. They enjoy coming to school, but school funding cuts over the years have impacted what schools can provide to individual classrooms.
I teach second grade in an urban neighborhood where all the students at school are eligible for free breakfast and free lunch.
Some students live below the poverty line and their families struggle to provide them with basic necessities needed to be successful in school. Despite these obstacles, our school has hard-working students, as well as teachers and staff, who strive to make our school a welcoming and inviting place. In addition, our school is one of the top-performing schools in the city.
The QBall is microphone surround by a durable foam case. I teach in an urban school a block away from a major university. This means there is always noise when the windows are open, which makes it hard to hear students when they are speaking. The QBall would make it much easier to hear students in a fun and engaging way. Good communication skills are critical for students. They need to be able to speak to others using proper language skills. Students have to be able to listen as others are speaking as well.
The QBall is fun and engaging while simultaneously helping students improve their speaking and listening skills.
Other teachers who use a Qball with their students have declared it to be a huge success in their classroom. Their students are more cognizant about what they are saying and how they are saying something. It would be beneficial for my students to have a Qball in the classroom.
