My Students

Presently, we have 420 students. We live in an improvised area with 70% of our students receiving free/reduce lunch. These students work hard every day, and we are constantly striving to challenge them.

The middle school library is the main resource for learning.

Our students visit the library at least bimonthly with their reading classes. They also have the opportunity to visit the library during free time, breakfast and lunch, or after finishing classroom assignments.

Our Makerspace area is designed for students to develop 21st century skills needed to be successful in this ever-changing world. We want to continue to add supplies to our area.

My Project

My students need Sony stereo headphones to use when they are working on video projects. The headphones will be used on a daily basis for video production. The finished product will be shown to keep stakeholders up-to-date of what is happening in our school. These videos will be aired on two local access channels. Theses videos will also be shared via the school's website and social media pages.

Headphones will be beneficial for students to improve video production through all phases.

Not only will my media class students benefit from the use of these headphones, students outside this class will be helped too. Students are always asking to borrow headphones, and now the library Makerspace will have some for students to use.
