I have to admit, I was very nervous to distance teach thirty, first graders for the entire year. I questioned my ability to build meaningful relationships with them and teach engaging lessons virtually.
These past few months as a virtual teacher, have been gratifying, fun, frustrating, and tiring.
The one thing that keeps me going is having the privilege of teaching the most amazing first graders! They have adapted to the virtual classroom setting so well, especially dealing with all the computer glitches. They are so resilient. They love learning and work hard to complete their work.
My Project
One of the challenges during distance learning is keeping students excited and engaged. I spend a lot of time creating resources that fit my students needs.
