My Students

Our 6th grade students lead the way at our school. These leaders have various roles in the classroom, as club representatives, and as individuals.

In our math class, they are encouraged to bring in all of these facets of their lives and apply critical thinking to become innovators.

Our goal is to become well-versed logical thinkers that can communicate ideas effectively. This requires collaboration, problem-solving, and ingenuity. These skills along with each student's individuality create an exciting learning experience!

My Project

Rubik's Cube is a vintage game that peaked in popularity in the '80s, but today they are tools that will enhance engagement in the classroom. Cubes span across all content areas- from the history of games, to characters in novels, and even marvel scientists.

Picture it- a group of engaged 6th graders gathers 'round eagerly to solve algorithms.

As they learn about famous people in history, solve math equations, and create mosaics to round out the perfect STEAM activity. 21st-century skills include teamwork, problem-solving, and communication, all of which are utilized in this project.
