My Students

I get up every morning excited and ready for work because I know that today a student will have a success story for me. I teach because the students give me life when they understand the concept or their light bulbs light up. After all, they get it. I teach in a Title I school where the students receive 100% free breakfast and lunch. My students are faced with making grown-up decisions. I try to make coming to my class an escape from the problems that they face at home or in the streets.

My Project

These items will be used to create a city project. The resources for this project are located in Teachers Pay Teachers. They are learning about transversals. They will create a city using lines and angles according to the description that I will provide them. This will be done on paper first then transferred to poster to be displayed in the building. I want them to be able to transfer what we are learning to real life. The students will use their laptop on the cart as they present. They will become Engineers for the city.

We will also combine this project with building a 3D house that will eventually be judged by local home builders.
