My Students

My school has three programs in one school. We have a Special Ed Pre-School, we have a city feeder behavioral program, and a mainstream component. It has a very diverse population and diverse needs. What they all have in common is a need to be supported and engaged in learning.

We pride ourselves on meeting the needs of all of our students.

I want our students to be creative, innovative, and have a passion for learning. My students need to be challenged with independent thinking skills. The materials I am asking for are utilized by all students in the school.

My Project

Students will use Coding progorams to create melodies, sequences, and music. They will also be able to race "cars" while learning to code. Coding is an important skill in our district and coding jam is an excellent hands on tool for my students.

Students will tackle problem solving in a fun way and will instantly see their results in the form of musical beats and fast cars!

Students will be able to be creative and add their personal taste to learning coding. They will also be able to work collaboratively to create music and race cars. By working together, students are learning teamwork, compromise and will learn how to code from each other. Coding games are great engaging tools for students to learn with.
