Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This upcoming school year will be my 17th year in the classroom! I am doing my best to provide my students with a fun and fulfilling school year. We are part of a Title I school with very little funding but with a big heart!
I am teaching an ICT class of fourth graders that love reading, writing, and math!
Hands-on exploring is what allows us to really understand new concepts. We love our school and need a way to show it! Won't you help us re-instill some school spirit?
My Project
Our school has just reached it's 10 year anniversary! This is a huge deal and we have the most school spirit around! Many years ago, through generous donors like yourself, we received Leo the school mascot! Well as you can imagine, over the 10 years he has seen a lot of wear and tear. Currently his tail is falling apart and his feet have definitely seen better days. We often have to tell the students he is sleeping since we can't bring him out to rallies all tattered up!
We need our friend Leo the Roaring Lion back in action!
If we could get a new costume, Leo can be back up and running right in time for the new school year! The kids would be so excited and we will once again be filled with the excitement and motivation we need from Leo!
