I teach kindergarten students that come from a diverse background. I work in a magnet school so my students come from urban and suburban homes.
Although they are all coming from a variety of backgrounds, they all come to school eager to learn and explore all that they can together.
My goal, as their teacher, is to help them learn and grow as much as they can and to prepare them for the real world by teaching them the skills they will need to be successful students throughout their education.
My Project
My students and I recently received some materials to use during our writers workshop time to help make writing engaging and this project is part 2 of that request. By adding to our materials to use during writers workshop we be adding to the students creativity.
My students love to use clipboards and dry erase markers so dry erase clipboards are the perfect combination.
Using makers during writers workshop is super engaging for young writers. By having these new materials my students will be able to sketch out their ideas before working with paper and pencil. The clipboards will also allow them to work wherever they would like to in the classroom.
