This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a high school mathematics teacher in a low income, rural school district. My school serves over 1200 students. Some of my classes are jam-packed with as many as 34 students for whom I provide meaningful and rigorous instruction daily.
My students are bright, motivated, and inquisitive learners.
They are eager to learn new things and open to tackle all learning opportunities put before them if provided the right tools. They are hardworking and dedicated pupils who desire to be successful.
My Project
These graph boards will be a welcome addition to the small set that we currently have. Due to large class sizes, all of my students are unable to have access to a board. These graph boards help my students practice the concepts that we are covering in class. The graph boards provide them the opportunity to complete their work, and they allow me the chance to offer them immediate feedback when completing tasks. We use them often in class, and they help to keep the students engaged and active participants in their learning.
Please help my students continue to be successful by donating these graph boards and markers.
