My Students

Our school is located in Waikiki where many people new to Hawaii will reside. We have students who come from many parts of the world and speaking over 30 different languages. We are a culturally diverse school with almost half of our students speaking another language besides English.

My students come to school so eager to learn the many subjects we teach daily and excited to experience these various subjects in all projects!

My classroom is a hetereogenous classroom which includes various types of learning styles.

My Project

Over 60% of my students are on free/reduced lunch and live in poverty. They are not able to afford basic school supplies, meals, and new clothing.

I would like to have my students be treated to nice things they are not able to afford.

I would like to see my students have various items made for them that will give them a sense of belonging, raise their self-esteem, and own something specially made for them. They can use these items during school events to show their pride in our fantastic school and also use them outside of the classroom. Thank you!
